For brands: show shoppers your sources are halal

Many products come out as doubtful on Halal or Not? for one reason: an ingredient such as gelatine, E471 (mono- and diglycerides), glycerol or natural flavourings can come from animal or plant sources, and the pack doesn't say which. If your sources are halal, shoppers have no way of knowing.

What verification does

You send evidence, we check it by hand, and every answer for that product then tells shoppers the brand has confirmed its sources, with what the evidence was and when we checked it. This shows on our website, in our free API and in the Halal or Not? connector on Meta's Muse assistant.

Verification adds information; it never buys a verdict. We read the evidence the same way whether or not it helps, and if it shows a haram source we say so and refund you.

What counts as evidence

• A current certificate from a recognised halal certifier covering the product, or
• Supplier specifications or letters confirming the source of each doubtful ingredient (plant, microbial, or halal-slaughtered animal), with the supplier's name.

£99 per product per year, or £399 a year for up to ten products in one range. Checked within five working days. Paid by card after we have looked at your evidence, not before.
