Halal or Not? does not have accounts and does not ask for your name, email or location.

What we receive

The ingredients, barcode, product name or ticker you ask about, and standard request details (IP address, browser type) that our host, Cloudflare, processes to serve the site. We do not store your queries in a database or build a profile of you.

Who else sees a query

Barcode and name lookups are passed to Open Food Facts or Open Beauty Facts. Stock lookups go to Mizan (askmizan.com), fund lookups to the SEC's EDGAR database, coin lookups to CoinGecko and medicine lookups to openFDA. Nothing identifying you is added.

None on this site.

Partner links

Some answers include a link to a halal alternative on a partner site, such as Amazon or Raisin UK. If you follow one, that site may set its own cookies to record that you came from Halal or Not?, and we may earn a fee if you buy or open an account.
